Halloween has become as much fun for adults as it is for kids.

The Women’s Halloween Costume business is booming, offering hundreds of costumes to choose from. For women, the most popular styles by far are those that portray them as sexy, but that isn’t the only game in town, especially if you are dressing for parties where children will be present or events held in the workplace.
Here is a random sampling of what you’ll find in the best stores this year:
Cleopatra – This classic outfit includes a white gown with gold embellishments, a black wig, and Egyptian headpiece. You can round out the look with a bangle bracelet in the shape of an asp worn on your upper arm and golden sandals.
Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz – The costume itself is a one-piece blue gingham checked pinafore over a white blouse. To complete the look, you can purchase ruby red slippers and a basket with a toy Toto inside. If you already have long hair, just braid it and add matching ribbons or you can purchase a matching pigtail wig.
Pirate’s Wench – Most wench costumes include a peasant blouse with attached lace corset, and a short skirt. Some also include a pirate hat. Knee-high, high-heeled boots with buckles will look more authentic, or you can simply wear high heels.
Vampiress – Most vampiress costumes include a floor-length black or dark-colored gown and cape. Accessories to this look include a long black wig and fake long nails, and of course, fake fangs.
French Maid – French maid costumes vary little in the premise. A black and white very short maid’s uniform complete with frilly apron, a garter or thigh-high stockings and a feather duster for a prop. Sexy high heels round out this look.
Of course, the standards such as a the Witch Outfit complete with black hat, black dress, long black wig and broom, and funny clown costumes featuring baggy polka-dotted jumpsuits, giant clown shoes, and colorful Afro wigs are still a big hit at Halloween.
And it’s important to note is the fact that most every costume you see advertised in regular sizes will also be offered in plus sizes, assuring everyone a chance to get in on the fun.
